We are happy to announce that we, in a team with @ We are happy to announce that we, in a team with @revaerk_arkitektur , have been pre-qualified for the MEREGADE project offered by the international NGO, GAME.

The project is about creating urban spaces that can help expand street sport and invite more children and young people to be physically active and included in social communities.

The competition is based on a pilot project in Faaborg-Midtfyn Kommune and will eventually be developed into a total of 7 street hubs around the country.

Together with ReVærk, we will investigate how to establish a sustainable and inclusive process, where children and young people feel heard.

The project has ambitious expectations for user involvement which is a core value for us in arki_lab. We are therefore looking forward to handing in this proposal supporting social meeting places for young people and street sport actors around Denmark!

The second part of the intern team this spring is The second part of the intern team this spring is Sophie!

Sophie has a bachelor degree in Radical Sustainable Architecture from Aarhus School of Architecture. During her studies, she has been focusing on social sustainability, the process of participatory design and urban spaces.
She’s interested in thinking of the urban space as more than just a transit space - A democratic space where the citizens feel connected and engaged with their surroundings.
Further, she has been teaching at Rødding Højskole in Urban Utopia Planning focusing on the question; what would the perfect city look like?
Sophie is looking forward to learning more about the strategies of co-creating with the citizens in the trans-disciplinary field between architecture and social science.

Sophie will also be a part of arki_lab until the end of June and we are happy to have her aboard!
SUNNY POP-UP EVENT IN YSTAD Last wednesday we wen SUNNY POP-UP EVENT IN YSTAD

Last wednesday we went to Sweden to facilitate a pop-up event and feedback loop for the municipality of Ystad, Sweden. Here we presented parts of our analysis based on the popular arki_nopoly event in January and invited the locals to bring forward more and new perspectives.

It was a beautiful first day of Scandinavian spring and 80+ locals from Köpingebro and Nybrostrand showed up and shared their opinions and visions for the area. As part of the workshop the locals had the opportunity to vote on their biggest priorities for the future strategy, and we were amazed to see the strong local engagement in the area.

This was our last workshop in Köpingebro-Nybrostrand and we are now ready to finalize our analysis report which will serve as the base for the municipal strategic plan for Köpingebro-Nybrostrand.

We look forward to this last phase of the project, and hope to soon be back in Sweden to work with our scandi-neighbors!

Rasmus is Down Under kicking off the engagement pr Rasmus is Down Under kicking off the engagement process for an action plan for the Nowra Riverfront Precinct together with our collaborators from Shoalhaven City Council and Our Regional NSW. This first event is part of a full scale arki_process with events, interviews, digital survey, stakeholder workshop and feedback loops. It's been amazing to see how our local collaborators have embraced our methodology and they did a great job in facilitating the event today 👏 The kick-off event was a huge success with a lot of locals eagerly sharing their experiences and inputs. We look forward to share more about our newfound knowledge about Nowra in the coming months.
