University of Wollongong Health & Well Being Precinct
The Health and Wellbeing Precinct is envisaged as a place for people to ‘Live Well Longer’ in Australia’s first intergenerational university community: a place for living, working, learning and growing in an environment that supports complete physical, social and mental health and wellbeing. To deliver this vision, the Precinct will work to bring the best features of similar successful international models and precincts into this Australian context. The Precinct will focus on teaching, learning and research translated into practice to improve patient experience and outcomes. It will enhance UOW’s ability to train the health and aged care workforce of the future to deliver patient-centred models of care within an interdisciplinary model.

arki_nopoly workshop
In relation to the development of the Health and Well-Being Precinct, arki_lab recently organized and facilitated a stakeholder engagement workshop, where stakeholders from the university were brought around the same table to exchange ideas and give feedback about the proposal. Members from different academic groups and committees participated in the workshop to identify potentials and challenges as well as give feedback on the buildings and the public realm.

Following the workshop, arki_lab analyzed the collected data, categorized the participants' ideas in different categories and identified the priority issues and areas, both in the built environment and the public realm. Finally the data treatment was presented to Lendlease.
