The vision for this project is to upgrade the physical space between the four large building blocks, transforming it from today's grey parking lot into a green climate garden and a social green space, supporting biodiversity and community.

In close collaboration with Grønjordskollegiet's resident council and FA09, arki_lab has acted as 'birth helpers' and helped the dorm through the process from early ideas, to resident involvement, vision drawings and fund applications. The climate garden and green, social space is part of a larger vision to improve the outdoor environments and existing landscape at Grønjordskollegiet.
In 2023, the project received generous funding from the Nordea Foundation (Her gror vi puljen), Copenhagen Municipality (Biodiversitetspuljen) and Villum Fonden (Dagslys og frisk luft) and is therefore taking another step towards the realisation, which so many residents and locals have wanted!
