Gaining knowledge for a new Place Plan
Queanbeyan-Palerang is located in the southern tablelands adjacent to Canberra and 250 km southwest of Sydney. Outside of the Queanbeyan residential area, the local government area is predominantly a rural area with several townships, the main being Bungendore, Braidwood and Captains Flat. The town of Bungendore dates back to 1837, and hosts many original colonial buildings.

In collaboration with Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council arki_lab is involved in undertaking a broad community consultation of knowledge and insights that will inform the Bungendore Place Plan 2024. The Place Plan will be a tactical guide for development of the town's identity, look, livability and attractiveness over the next 10 years and enhance relationships and engagement between Council and the Bungendore Community.

arki_lab has facilitated the initial kick-off event and undertaken a digital survey as a part of the consultation process that will continue throughout the spring that all together will inform the Bungendore Place Plan.
