EVALUATION/ANALYSIS

Not every project involves proposing a physical design intervention. Using our in-house-developed tools, we are experts at uncovering valuable information about a site and its various users and stakeholders. Through games, 1:1 prototyping, expert interviews, digital we tap into the unique needs and desires of the users to gather in-depth knowledge about the site. We then interpret, analyze, and record this information into a relevant and usable strategy or report.

  • Stakeholder Mapping
  • Site Analysis
  • Ethnographic research
  • Network Analysis

TEACHING

arki_lab knows the importance of involving people in the process of designing our cities, and we have a particular focus on working directly with young people to see what they can bring to the table. We’ve designed, developed, and conducted a number of tailor-made workshops for youth of all ages, from kindergartners up to high school students. We see youth as the superusers of the city, and our workshops help to activate their creative minds in order to uncover their expert knowledge and deepest desires about the present and future of their local area. We also have many years of experience teaching elective courses in the public school system, giving kids hands-on lessons about architecture and urban design. We regularly design and conduct:

  • Workshops
  • Lectures
  • Seminars
  • Elective Courses
