This week arki_lab team has been visited by a group of young students from Odsherred Efterskole (an optional year of education after primary school). Clara, Karoline and Clara are working on an assignment with a special focus on professions, in which they chose architecture and social pedagogics. One of them had already participated in arki_lab’s school design projects at Sortedamskolen and therefore has decided to interview us about architecture and urban design profession. Besides providing them with this information, we organised a workshop and assisted with their final product – a model of a prison cell – in which they want to show that good architectural design can improve livelihood of different spaces, even prisons. In addition to theoretical knowledge, we were happy to also teach them scale and provide materials for the model. As an urban design studio we are always enthusiastic when it comes to helping different citizen groups, especially the youth 🙂
